Emergency Medical Services

Incapacitating injuries have decreased over 33% during the past 10 years. This number was lower in 2003 than during 2002. Seat belts, airbags, and child restraints may have accounted for part of this decrease.
OUR GOALS
  • Reduce severe injuries to persons from motor vehicle crashes below 1,700 by 2009.
