Study Overview
The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) has been requested by the City of Sidney to conduct a bypass study for the Sidney area. The primary purpose of the study is to examine whether a bypass route around Sidney is justified and has community support. The study will consider alignment corridor options, opportunities and constraints, and financial feasibility of a Sidney bypass. The need for a bypass route, if any, and cost estimates will also be identified. Public and agency outreach is an important component of the study effort.
